Northamptonshire County Golf Club is an 18-hole heathland course located in Church Brampton, established in 1909. Originally designed by distinguished architect Harry S. Colt—who also created Wentworth and Sunningdale—the course has remained largely unchanged since its inception, with notable alterations by James Braid in 1947. Ranked within the UK's top 100 courses, it serves as an R&A Open Qualifying venue.
The course features small, well-built and contoured greens with challenging approaches set against beautiful scenery. Its heathland layout runs fast during summer months, presenting a rigorous test of golf for players of all abilities. The design rewards good shots while remaining playable and accessible.
NCGC is recognized as one of the finest courses in the Midlands, earning comparisons to prestigious Surrey courses and Hollinwell when in peak condition. The traditional clubhouse, sympathetically extended over the decades, overlooks the 18th green and serves as the social hub.
