Disley Golf Course

Cheshire, England

Disley Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course designed by James Braid, established in 1889 and located on the Cheshire-Derbyshire border, approximately 5 miles from Stockport. The course combines parkland and moorland styles, offering panoramic views across the Peak District, Kinder Scout, and Manchester, with vistas extending to the Welsh mountains on clear days. The layout stretches from 5,000 to over 6,000 yards with multiple tee options, accommodating golfers of all abilities. The course features small, undulating greens that demand precision in putting and fairways requiring accuracy from the tee, making it a true test for all skill levels. As one of the UK's oldest inland courses, Disley has hosted professional tournaments, PGA events, and county matches throughout its history. The course is characterized by its challenging green complexes and strategic design, complemented by excellent clubhouse facilities including a fully stocked pro shop, indoor TrackMan Academy, and panoramic balcony views. The club maintains an active membership community with dedicated sections for ladies, juniors, and seniors.
