Description

The Seniors Open Better-Ball Stableford takes place at Mapperley Golf Club (a parkland course four miles from Nottingham city centre) on 22 July 2026. Open to players aged 55 and over. Format is pairs better-ball stableford, played off Yellow Alternate tees with the 10th as a par 3 (Course Rating 68.4, Slope 125). Handicap Index limit is 30.0; players with a higher index may enter, with their playing handicap calculated using the maximum index of 30.0. Handicap allowance is 85%. To be eligible for prizes, both players must hold a valid current Handicap Index and have submitted a minimum of 6 Acceptable Scores (including at least 3 in competition play) within the 12 months prior to the competition. Pairs with a player who has not met this requirement may compete but are not eligible for prizes. Entry fee is £25 per person for visitors and £10 per person for members. Entry can be made online via BRS, in person at the Pro Shop, or by phone on 0115 955 6673 (payment required at time of entry). Buggies may be pre-booked through the Pro Shop, subject to availability and course conditions; no refund of entry fees is given if a player withdraws due to buggy non-availability. If the Committee suspends play due to adverse conditions and players cannot complete their round, a refund or entry into a future Open Competition will be offered. If team details change after booking, notify comps@mapperleygolfclub.org to update the start sheet and allow a handicap check.
