Bannockburn Golf Course is a tree-lined layout designed by Pacific Coast Designs, featuring an innovative design philosophy that emphasizes strategic play without traditional bunkers. The course is characterized by precision-demanding fairways lined with gum trees, encouraging creative shot-making throughout the round. The primary challenge lies on the greens, which are notably expansive and undulating with complex design features including gentle swales, subtle breaks, and dramatic drop-offs that require precise putting technique. Located in Bannockburn, Victoria, the course is set within a natural, tranquil environment of native gum trees, offering golfers a balance between serene surroundings and competitive challenge. The master plan utilized the existing course while implementing enhancements, particularly the creation of large, enjoyable greens designed for member enjoyment. The course presents a distinctive test that prioritizes green-side play and short-game execution over traditional hazard-based difficulty.
