Shirakawa Meadow Golf Club is an 18-hole course located in Tanine, Shirakawa, Fukushima Prefecture, situated at an elevation of 960 meters. Designed by Shunsuke Kato, the course is set within the Nasu mountain range and offers views of the surrounding peaks. The layout features four sets of tees-Gold, Blue, White, and Red-with the Gold tees measuring 6,797 yards and the Blue tees measuring 6,452 yards. The par for the course is 72. The front nine is characterized by strategic elevation changes and distinct visual balances. The 5th hole, a 410-yard par 4, plays slightly to the left and features a prominent isolated tree near the green that influences approach shots. The 6th hole is a long 199-yard par 3 that offers expansive views of the mountains beyond the green; it is played without bunkers, relying instead on distance and accuracy. The 9th hole is a 562-yard par 5 that is designed to be played in three shots, with a water hazard positioned to the right of the landing area for the second shot, requiring careful club selection on the third. The back nine includes several demanding holes that test power and strategy. The 16th hole is a 627-yard par 5, described as the most heroic hole on the course, offering a wide fairway for long hitters but requiring a calculated game plan from the tee to manage the second shot. The 12th hole is a 213-yard par 3 with a large green divided by a small ridge, featuring a water hazard to the right. The 13th hole is a 381-yard par 4, and the 14th is a 389-yard par 4, both requiring precise approach shots. The 15th hole is a 189-yard par 3. The course is designed to accommodate players from beginners to advanced golfers, with a focus on natural beauty and strategic play. The design emphasizes the natural topography, avoiding flat terrain to create a dynamic playing experience. The club also features a restaurant with views of the course and offers various event information and tournament results.
