Maramarua Golf Club

Waikato, New Zealand

Maramarua Golf Club is an 18-hole course located 30 minutes from Manukau near Mangatawhiri, offering a balance between country tranquility and proximity to Auckland. The course features multiple tee options with varying difficulty levels: Blue tees play at 5574 meters with a slope of 112 (par 71), Yellow tees at 5394 meters with a slope of 115 (par 71), and Orange tees at 3157 meters with a slope of 91 (par 67). The layout requires thoughtful shot placement and strategic club selection rather than extreme length. The well-maintained course attracts both regular visitors and dedicated members who appreciate its peaceful rural setting. The club hosts a regular tournament program throughout the year, including women's, mixed, and 9-hole competitions, as well as pennant games within the Auckland district. A weekly twilight golf program operates on Wednesday evenings with divisions for golfers and non-golfers alike. The course is affiliated with both NZ Golf and Auckland Golf, providing competitive members access to wider district competitions.
