Rushmore Golf Club

Dorset, England

Rushmore Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Tollard Royal, Wiltshire, set within the stunning landscape of the Cranborne Chase on chalk terrain. The course stretches 6,349 yards from the championship tees and plays to Par 71 for men and Par 72 for ladies. The layout comprises three par 5s and four par 3s, ranging from 548 to 162 yards, designed to test all aspects of a golfer's game. While bunkers appear only on the nine holes situated in Dorset, towering Sequoia trees present a consistent challenge throughout the course. The primary defense lies in the greens, featuring fast surfaces with substantial undulations that demand skillful reading and execution. Set within beautiful ancient parkland, Rushmore combines modern course design with a historic estate setting, offering year-round play on free-draining turf. The tranquil surroundings of the Rushmore Estate can be appreciated from the fairways, creating an aesthetically pleasing round. The thought-provoking layout balances the testing of playing ability with course management considerations, establishing Rushmore as a respected course in the southern England region.
