Retford Golf Club

Nottinghamshire, England

Established in 1920, Retford Golf Club is set within splendid countryside in Nottinghamshire, featuring oak-lined fairways, open parkland areas with flowing undulations, and picturesque views. The course is a varied and interesting layout combining open parkland holes, tree-lined fairways, and changes in level that reward accuracy while offering opportunities for longer hitters. The design incorporates numerous carefully positioned bunkers, risk/reward holes, and subtle borrows on well-maintained greens to challenge golfers of all levels, including low handicappers. The course is playable in every season and is described as suitably challenging with a mixture of hole types that test both precision and power. Retford serves as a popular destination for visiting societies and hosts well-established amateur open competitions throughout the year, with a full program of inter-club competitions available to members.
