Beau Desert Golf Club

Cannock, Staffordshire, England

Beau Desert Golf Club, founded in 1911, is a championship heathland course situated in the heart of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire. Designed by the renowned Herbert Fowler, the course features a traditional heathland layout with rolling greens, steep bunkers, and fairways framed by heather and pine trees. The course is characterized by its challenging topography, with hollows and strategically placed bunkers throughout the layout. Currently ranked as the No. 1 golf course in the West Midlands by National Club Golfer, 47th in England's Top 100 Golf Courses, and recognized as a "true hidden gem" in Golf Monthly's Top 100 UK and Irish Courses, Beau Desert offers a distinctive playing experience. The remote location within Cannock Chase provides a sense of isolation and peacefulness, with minimal distractions during play. The course is known for its testing greens and rolling fairways that demand accuracy and strategic play. Its natural landscape, characterized by native heather and pine woodland, creates an aesthetically pleasing and challenging environment for golfers of varying abilities.
