The John Cross Bowl is a 36-hole scratch medal competition held at Worplesdon Golf Club on Friday 9 April 2027. The event is open to male golfers with an active handicap index of 1.0 or less. Entries are limited to 60 players, with a ballot held if oversubscribed. All golfers play from the purple tees of the day. The itinerary includes coffee and a bacon roll on arrival, 18 holes of scratch medal, lunch, a second 18 holes of scratch medal, and afternoon tea. The entry fee is £130 for visitors and £80 for members. A practice round is available for £60 (competitors) or £225 (non-competitors). This is a qualifying event for the Surrey Order of Merit. Sign-ups open on 1 January 2027 and close on 26 March 2027.
