Yamba Golf & Country Club is hosting Cancer Council's The Longest Day on Tuesday 8th December 2026. This is an endurance golf challenge where participants complete four rounds of golf (72 holes) in a single day to raise funds for lifesaving cancer research. Teams are welcomed to test their skill, strength, and stamina. There is no charge to play, and golf carts are available at no cost. Participants receive four drink tickets after completing the 72 holes. Registration is via the Cancer Council The Longest Day website (longestday.org.au). Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85, and this event supports thousands of families affected by cancer each year in Australia. The club has 72 participation spots available for this event.
