The Kirin Beer Cup is an open half-course (front 9-hole) competition held at New Central Golf Club on Wednesday, 21 October 2026. It is played under bogey (paria) scoring over the first 9 holes only, and is open to individual entrants; solo players may be paired with other solo bookings, so the tee time may shift slightly. The visitor round fee is 6,760 yen (tax included), which covers the half round and a meal; a discounted 6,650 yen rate applies when the group is 3 teams of 10 or more. Every participant receives a prize, and the winner takes two premium prizes: a case of Kirin Ichiban beer (350ml cans) and Kirin Whisky Roku. Because this is a half-course competition, no formal prize-giving ceremony is held; prizes are collected at the reception desk beside the front office. Entrants consent to their names being published with the results on the club website. The event is cancelled if the minimum field of 30 players is not reached. Online booking is available through the club's reservation system.

New Central Golf Club is located at 1525 Shimoda-cho, Utsunomiya, Tochigi, and operates a unique 27-hole facility divided into three distinct nine-hole loops: the South, North, and Center courses. The layout is designed for continuous play, with the standard routing flowing from the South Course to the North, then the Center, before returning to the South. Each of the three nines plays to a par of 36, creating a full 18-hole loop that totals 72 strokes. The facility is accessible via a shuttle bus from Utsunomiya Station, situated approximately 20 to 30 minutes from the city center. The South Course offers a total yardage of 2,829 yards from the regular tees, featuring a mix of long par-5s and technical par-4s. The first hole presents a 473-yard challenge, while the par-3 third hole is a short 119-yard test. The North Course is slightly shorter at 2,878 yards from the regular tees, highlighted by a massive 522-yard second hole that serves as a primary driving distance test. This nine also includes a short 142-yard third hole and a 474-yard closing par-5. The Center Course rounds out the layout at 3,107 yards from the regular tees, providing the longest total distance of the three nines. It features a 529-yard ninth hole and a 413-yard sixth hole, demanding length off the tee. The nines are distinguished by specific yardage variations between the right and left tees, allowing for adjusted difficulty. The course includes specific recommendations for players, identifying the third and sixth holes on the Center Course as ideal for long hitters, while the fourth and eighth holes are noted for approach precision. The club provides a full-service clubhouse environment, including a restaurant on the second floor, a pro shop, and locker facilities. A notable feature of the amenities is the presence of large public baths for both men and women, allowing for relaxation after play. The facility also hosts local competitive events, such as the Tochigi Prefectural Governor's Cup regional qualifiers, indicating its role as a venue for organized tournament play in the region.
