A Fourball Betterball competition for senior gentlemen held at Manchester Golf Club on Monday 7 June 2027. The event is open to visiting non-member golfers as well as club members. Teams of two players enter as pairs, with the better ball scoring format applied. Visitor entry fee is £55 per pair (£45 for members). Entrants must be current members of a physical golf club with an active World Handicap System index. To be eligible for prizes, players must have completed a minimum of five competition scores within the last twelve months. Maximum WHI index for better ball competitions is 23.7 for men and 30.5 for women. Handicap allowance is 85% of course handicap for fourball betterball. Participants must register at the clubhouse at least 30 minutes before their scheduled tee time. Smart golf attire is mandatory, and players must have personal liability insurance. Tee times are available from 08:30 onwards, with bookings made online with full payment required at the time of booking.

Manchester Golf Club is a Harry Colt-designed championship course set across 247 acres of moorland and heathland near Manchester. Located at Hopwood in Middleton, approximately 20 minutes from Manchester City Centre, the course offers rural scenery with views over central Manchester. As an England Golf Championship venue, it hosts prestigious tournaments including the Ladies European Tour Access Series, Reid Trophy, and Women's Open Strokeplay Championship, along with the Northern Counties Championship. The course presents a challenging test of golf suitable for competitive play, with notable wildlife including deer roaming the fairways. The club features extensive practice facilities including a 300+ yard driving range with Trackman technology, a short game area, Golf Performance Centre, and Putting Lab. The membership base includes over 100 single-figure handicap golfers and more than 40 category 1 players. Manchester Golf Club operates as a private members' club while welcoming visitors and societies year-round. The recently refurbished clubhouse serves as both a golf venue and event space for conferences and functions.
