Hexham Golf Club

Hexham, Northumberland, England

Hexham Golf Club, established in 1892, is located at Spital Park in Hexham and features an 18-hole course playable year-round. The course is situated within the historic grounds of the Grade 1 listed Spital Estate House, providing an impressive setting with scenic views overlooking the putting green and 18th hole. The layout is characterized by strategically challenging opening and closing holes that significantly impact the round. The first and last holes require tough decision-making, with the 18th presenting particular strategic interest as players contemplate risk versus reward for birdie opportunities. The club offers extensive practice facilities including a purpose-built Walled Garden short game area with practice bunkers and a large putting green that mirrors course conditions. An indoor swing studio with GC2 launch monitor technology and custom fitting services is available at the Pro Shop. Hexham is designated as a members-focused club with restricted play on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sunday mornings to ensure member priority. The welcoming atmosphere extends to visitors and new members, with the clubhouse providing comprehensive hospitality and dining options overlooking the course.
