The Shin Osaka Pair Scramble is a bi-monthly pair scramble competition held at Shin Osaka Golf Club, taking place in December, February, April, June, August and October. This is the 6th occurrence of the 2026 season, held on Friday, 30 October 2026. Two players form a side and play a scramble, selecting the best ball after each shot and then playing from the same position. Each pair chooses at least 7 of the 18 holes as their responsible holes. Scoring is a double Peria system using net handicaps, with a count-back from the 18th hole to break ties. Tee options: men play from the white tees (gold tees available for players aged 70+, legend tees for 80+); women play from the red tees (legend tees available for 70+). OB and special tees are in use, with red stakes and drop areas permitted. The entry fee is 10,500 JPY for visitors (9,750 JPY for members), which includes a limited lunch and participation. The winning pair receives a 10,000 JPY prize, with 2nd and 3rd place prizes varying by the number of entrants. The top 3 teams from the October event are invited to the December Grand Monthly event. Reservations are required; contact the club on 075-962-0055.

The course is located in Shimamoto, Osaka, situated in the Kitakata region with views overlooking the confluence of the Uji, Kizu, and Katsura rivers. The 18-hole layout measures 6,463 yards with a JGA Course Rating of 70.9. The facility, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023, is equipped with GPS navigation on all carts. It operates as a private club where guest entry typically requires a member's introduction, though web reservations are available for visitors.
