The Year Ender is the 3rd Annual 2-Man Scramble held at Locust Hills Golf Club on Saturday, November 7, 2026, with a 10:00 AM shotgun start. This open competition welcomes teams of two players. Pre-pay entry is $90 per person ($100 per person on the day). Locust Hills Golf Club members pay $65 plus the cost of golf. The entry fee includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, post-round food and beverage provided by the club, a Srixon Tour Cabretta Glove, one sleeve of Srixon Q-Star Tour Golf Balls, and entry into a $600 skins contest. Cash prizes are awarded for 1st through 5th place, with closest-to-pin winners receiving a Cleveland Putter or Wedge. Prizes are based on a projected field of 100 men and 50 teams. There are also raffle prizes available. Players can choose from Blue tees (men 61 and under), Silver tees (men 62 and over), or Gold tees (women). Registration is available online through the club's booking system.

Locust Hills Golf Club is a 36-hole public course located in Springfield, OH, offering 36 holes of public golf across two beautifully maintained courses: Maple and Locust. The 18-hole Locust course features 6,576 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 and was designed by the Kitchen Family, opening in 1966. The Locust Course is slightly more mature and measures 4,631 yards in length from the forward tees. The Maple Course is more wide open with spacious greens that measure 4,664 yards in length from the forward tees and 6,752 yards from the back tees. The Maple golf course was designed by the Kitchen Family and opened in 1999. Combined, both layouts cover over 280 acres of gently rolling hills, with ample room available to hold in errant shots but with some subtle but tricky elevation changes. The facility was named the 2025 Best Course in Springfield by the Springfield News-Sun and the Greater Springfield Partnership, adding to its legacy that includes the 2007 Course of the Year award from the Ohio Golf Course Owners Association. Locust Hills has welcomed golfers in Springfield since 1966, and as it approaches its 60th anniversary in 2026, it continues the family tradition as a family-owned and operated facility.
