The Senior Men's Open AM/AM takes place at Rugby Golf Club, Clifton Road, Rugby, CV21 3RD on 27 August 2026. The format is an AM/AM played on the Yellow tees with a 90% handicap allowance; teams of four compete with the best two Stableford scores on each hole counting. Entry fee is £30.00 per visitor (£20.00 per member) and includes tea, coffee, and a bacon roll on arrival. To enter, players must be aged at least 55 on the day of the competition, hold an active WHS Handicap Index of 28.3 or lower, and be a member of an affiliated golf club. To be eligible for a prize, entrants must have registered at least six competition or general play scorecards in the twelve months prior to the competition date. Entry closes at 11:59 pm on 25 August 2026. There is no prize presentation; results will be published online and prize vouchers will be forwarded to winners.

Founded in 1891, Rugby Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in the Midlands, situated on the Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, and Leicestershire borders, just five minutes from M6 Junction 1. The compact course comprises 18 holes with 7 par 3s, 8 par 4s, and 3 par 5s from the back tees, designed by the renowned James Braid. The course presents a unique challenge to golfers of all abilities through its challenging target areas and Braid's classic combinations of risk and reward. The layout requires strategic shot-making and precision rather than length. Rugby Golf Club offers various membership packages and welcomes visiting golfers and societies.
