Senior Pairs Betterball at Rugby Golf Club on Tuesday 13th July 2027. The event is played as a stableford competition with an 85% handicap allowance. Players must be at least 55 years of age on the day of the competition, hold an active WHS Handicap Index of 28.3 or less, and be a member of an affiliated golf club. The entry fee is £30.00 per player for visitors (or £20.00 for members), which includes tea/coffee and a bacon roll on arrival. Online signup opens at 12:00 am on 1st December 2026. To be eligible for a prize, entrants must have registered at least six Competition/General Play scorecards in the twelve months prior to the competition date. Results will be published online and prize vouchers forwarded to winners; there is no formal prize presentation.

Founded in 1891, Rugby Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in the Midlands, situated on the Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, and Leicestershire borders, just five minutes from M6 Junction 1. The compact course comprises 18 holes with 7 par 3s, 8 par 4s, and 3 par 5s from the back tees, designed by the renowned James Braid. The course presents a unique challenge to golfers of all abilities through its challenging target areas and Braid's classic combinations of risk and reward. The layout requires strategic shot-making and precision rather than length. Rugby Golf Club offers various membership packages and welcomes visiting golfers and societies. The club also provides facilities for private hire, functions, conferences, and events, along with a clubhouse restaurant and function room.
