Senior Pairs Betterball competition at Rugby Golf Club, played off the Yellow tees on Tuesday 14 July 2026. Format is pairs betterball Stableford with an 85% handicap allowance. Players must be aged at least 55 on the day of the competition, hold an active WHS Handicap Index (maximum 28.3), and be a member of an affiliated golf club. Entry fee is £30.00 per player for visitors (£20.00 for Rugby Golf Club members), and includes tea/coffee and a bacon roll on arrival. To be eligible for a prize, entrants must have registered at least six Competition or General Play scorecards in the twelve months prior to the competition date. Signup closes at 11:59 pm on 12 July 2026. There will be no prize presentation; results will be published online and prize vouchers forwarded to winners.

Founded in 1891, Rugby Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in the Midlands, situated on the Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, and Leicestershire borders, just five minutes from M6 Junction 1. The compact course comprises 18 holes with 7 par 3s, 8 par 4s, and 3 par 5s from the back tees, designed by the renowned James Braid. The course presents a unique challenge to golfers of all abilities through its challenging target areas and Braid's classic combinations of risk and reward. The layout requires strategic shot-making and precision rather than length. Rugby Golf Club offers various membership packages and welcomes visiting golfers and societies.
