Token Tado Country Club

三重県, Japan

Located in Tado-cho, Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, Token Tado Country Club is a 72-par, 18-hole championship course recognized by both the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO) and the Japan LPGA. The layout features a total yardage of 7,200 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 76.1 and a slope rating of 143 for men, indicating a high level of difficulty for the average golfer. The front nine plays to a par 36 with a yardage of 3,600 yards, while the back nine matches this with another par 36 and 3,600 yards. The course is characterized by strategic fairways and hazards that demand precision, a design that has earned it the status of a "Tour Champions Club" by the JGTO. It is one of the few courses in the Chubu region to receive this official designation, reflecting the quality and strategic depth required by professional players. The JGTO certification highlights the course's ability to challenge top-tier talent, while the JLPGA recognition, granted in 2003, confirms its suitability for high-level women's professional competition as well. Key holes include the long par-5 12th, which measures 563 yards from the full tees, and the demanding par-4 18th at 451 yards. The par-3 holes present varied challenges, ranging from the 210-yard 3rd to the longer 240-yard 13th. The course's difficulty is further emphasized by its slope ratings, which exceed the neutral standard of 113, suggesting that bogeys are likely for even skilled amateur players. Token Tado Country Club has hosted tournaments for both men's and women's professional tours, cementing its reputation as a serious competitive venue. The facility is situated in a green, quiet setting near Nagoya, offering a blend of urban accessibility and the strategic rigor expected of a professional-grade golf course. The layout requires players to read the wind and navigate undulations, providing a test that goes beyond simple distance.
