The Bath Golf Club Junior Open is an 18-hole individual medal competition (strokeplay) for boys and girls under the age of 18 (as of 1st January), with a maximum Handicap Index of 54.0. The event is held at Bath Golf Club, with boys playing from the Yellow tees and girls from the Red tees. A 95% handicap allowance is applied. The competition serves as a qualifier for the Justin Rose Telegraph Golf Championship, with best net and gross scores entered. There are separate prizes for the Junior Open Cup (best net, with handicap limits of 28 for boys and 36 for girls to qualify for the cup) and the Wessex Junior Masters (best gross and best stableford scores). The entry fee is £25.00 for visitors and £12.00 for members. Entries are accepted online, closing on 17th May 2027. Start times are drawn in handicap order and emailed to players by 19th May 2027. The event is open to both boys and girls (mixed gender junior event).
