Rosapenna Golf Course

County Donegal, Ireland

Rosapenna Golf Resort, located on Sheephaven Bay in Donegal, Ireland, is home to three distinct championship links courses. The Old Tom Morris Links, designed by the legendary Old Tom Morris in 1893 and later modified by Harry Vardon, James Braid, and Harry Colt, represents a traditional links test comparable to Open Championship venues, with commanding views of Sheephaven Bay and Tramore Beach on the back nine. The Sandy Hills Links, laid out by Pat Ruddy, is considered a modern great and ranks among Ireland's top 10 courses, offering a demanding test in dramatic seaside terrain. The newest addition, St Patrick's Links designed by Tom Doak and opened in 2021, has achieved remarkable rankings recognition. It debuted at #55 in GOLF Magazine's Top 100 and has risen to #44 in the 2025-26 rankings-the highest new entry ranking for any course. Set along spectacular natural dunes with ocean views and commanding vistas of Ards Forest Park, St Patrick's Links exemplifies contemporary links design. All three courses showcase the resort's exceptional coastal setting and challenging golf architecture, complemented by on-site luxury accommodation.
