Cooroy Open is an 18-hole strokeplay competition held at Cooroy Golf Club on Saturday 13 September 2026. The event is divided into 3 grades (handicap divisions), with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division for both Gross and Nett scores, plus 5 Pin Shots per division and a Superpin. Entry fee is $40 AUD, which includes a smorgasbord lunch. The shotgun start is at 8:30am, with registration from 8:15am. The field is capped at 116 players. Nominations are accepted online from 8 August 2026 until 5 September 2026 or until the field is full. Players can nominate up to four players in a playing group. GolfLink handicap is required for entry. Golf cart hire is available by contacting the club directly.

Cooroy Golf Course began as a 9-hole layout in 1936, with a second nine holes added in 2005 to create the current 18-hole course. Located approximately 20 minutes from Noosa in the town of Cooroy, the course sits in the Noosa hinterland and offers an 18-hole layout that presents a challenging but enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels. The course layout is unconventional, with players teeing off outbound and returning in, similar to the design of St Andrews. The course has a par of 70, and sits under the gaze of Mount Cooroy in the picturesque hinterland. The course features trees, water hazards, and varied hole designs where strategic placement is required to approach the greens. It is described as an easy walking course, making it accessible for golfers of varying abilities. The clubhouse features an open-plan design with an outside deck overlooking the 1st fairway and 18th green.
