Venue

Club de Campo Osorno

Región de Los Lagos, Chile

Located on Route 215 in the Los Lagos Region of Chile, the Club de Campo Osorno features an 18-hole, par 72 golf course spanning 6,513 yards. The layout was originally designed in 1974 by Eduardo Costabal Zegers for a nine-hole course, with the second nine added in 1990 with the assistance of Hernán Landmann Commentz. The course was fully completed in 2008, becoming the first club south of Concepción to offer two full rounds. The fairways are interspersed with centennial native trees such as pellines, coigües, raulís, and avellanos, alongside introduced species like beeches and oaks. The course is distinctively known as "Las Bandurrias," a name coined in 2005 to reflect the large population of bandurria birds that nest and roam the grounds. This natural setting provides a unique environment for play, distinguishing it from other courses in the country. The club also hosts the annual Abierto Las Bandurrias tournament, which has been held for over thirty editions, establishing a history of competitive golf in the region.
