Spring Open 2026

Spring Open 2026 by OceanTruck is a 36-hole strokeplay competition played over Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026 at Club de Campo Osorno (Ruta 215, Km 2.5, Osorno). It is open to amateur golfers holding a current FChG index as of 3 November 2026; foreign amateurs must present a handicap certificate from their club or national golf association. Categories: Ladies (index up to 25.0), Men A (up to 14.0, age up to 54), Men B (14.1-23.0, age up to 54), Senior Men A (up to 17.0, age 55+), Senior Men B (17.1-25.0, age 55+), and Junior (up to 25.0, age up to 18). Entry fee is 90,000 CLP for the Ladies, Men and Senior categories, and 45,000 CLP for Junior and for students up to 24 years (with proof). Maximum field is 144 players; entries close Tuesday 3 November 2026 at 18:00 or when the field is full, and only players who have paid by the deadline are included in the draw. Practice day is Friday 6 November (registered players get a reduced green fee of 4,000 CLP; play must finish by 18:00). Start times are published on the club website from Friday 6 November at 12:00. There is no cut, but any player over 110 gross (Men) or 115 gross (Ladies) on Saturday may not play Sunday. Prizes: overall Gross winner, overall best Net, 1st and 2nd Gross and Net in each category, plus Best Approach (Men and Ladies) and Long Drive; prizes are not cumulative except Best Approach and Long Drive. Championship ties are settled by sudden death over holes 18, 17, 18; category ties by best last 18/9/6/3/1 holes, then a coin toss. Prize-giving is in the club salons on Sunday 8 November immediately after the competition. Dress code per FChG: collared shirt, long trousers or bermuda (no jeans/shorts), soft spikes. Caddies must wear smooth-soled shoes. Mobile phones are prohibited during the round except for medical emergencies, contacting the referee, or as a distance-measuring device. Only manual or remote-control equipment carts are allowed.
