Takagawa Shin-Kotonan Golf Club

Takagawa Shin-Kotonan Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course that opened in June 1996, designed by Takeo Aiyama. Located in a gently rolling landscape approximately 35 kilometers from the Sakaide interchange on the Seto Naikai Central Expressway, the course takes advantage of its naturally blessed terrain with thoughtful layout. The course features three ponds and is separated by groves of cedar and cypress trees, creating distinct sections throughout. Each hole offers flat, spacious fairways that provide an inviting appearance, yet demands accurate shotmaking. At 6,694 yards from the back tees, the course plays to a par of 72 across two nines. Notable design elements include signature holes such as the par-5 9th hole (595 yards from the back tees) and the par-5 12th hole (538 yards). The course utilizes bentgrass greens throughout. A self-play format is available with optional caddy service. The course is particularly popular among senior golfers and female players, offering a balanced challenge suitable for various skill levels while maintaining playability across different tee positions.
