The Senior Winter Open Pairs takes place at Shirley Golf Club on 8 October 2026. This is a Senior Pairs Betterball Stableford competition with a 10am shotgun start from the yellow tees. Handicaps are calculated at 85%. The entry fee is £40 for visitors (£25 for members), which includes coffee, tea, and a one-course buffet meal. Players must have returned a minimum of 6 scores acceptable for handicap purposes in the 12 months preceding the date of competition and must be a member of an affiliated Golf Club to win main prizes. Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place pairs, along with nearest the pin awards on the 12th and 14th holes, nearest the pin in 3 on the 2nd hole, and longest drive on the 9th hole. Entries are handled online via the club's booking system.
