Originally laid out as a traditional parkland design, the course has evolved significantly over the past 50 years through the introduction of hundreds of trees, creating a heavily tree-lined layout that challenges golfers throughout. The course is characterized by rolling manicured fairways, elevated tees, and large well-maintained greens designed to accommodate golfers of varying abilities. Doglegs appear frequently throughout the routing, adding strategic complexity to the overall challenge. Located in Hertfordshire, the club is distinguished by its unique Lutyens-designed clubhouse, a listed building that serves as the only golf clubhouse designed by renowned British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. The facility includes extensive practice amenities and a driving range, supporting both competitive and recreational play.
