The Thando House Golf Day is a charity golf event held at Knysna Golf Club on 10 October 2026. Visitors and friends are invited to tee off for a day of golf to support Thando House, a community organization. The event encourages participants to book a fourball (betterball format). Bookings can be made by telephone at +27 (0)44 384 1150, by email at bookings@knysnagolfclub.com, or in person at the club. Spots are limited. The club is cashless, so card or digital payment is required. Visitors are welcome to play in club competitions at a small extra charge. A sandbag must be carried (R20 refundable deposit available). No metal spikes allowed. Dress code applies: men may wear long or short socks with golf shorts; no rugby/bermuda shorts, jeans, or collarless shirts.

Knysna Golf Club is situated in South Africa's Garden Route, minutes from the famous Knysna Heads, with the course hugging the shores of the Knysna Lagoon. Founded in 1909, it is one of South Africa's oldest and most characterful golf clubs. The 18-hole course features a challenging links/parkland layout with undulating terrain. It is characterized by tidal pools, inlets, magnificent indigenous trees, and diverse bird-life. The course presents a thought-provoking test for all skill levels, with long par-5s, imposing par-3s, and challenging par-4s. The terrain is easy to walk with or without a trolley, though the strategic design should not be underestimated. The course has been upgraded and enhanced over the past decade. Knysna Golf Club is renowned for its friendly, relaxed atmosphere and exceptional clubhouse facilities, welcoming visitors from around the world. The club maintains an active competition calendar and hosts various tournaments, including a PGA Regional Pro-Am. The halfway house is highly rated, and the club features a refurbished golf shop.
