Junior Open 2027

The Junior Open 2027 is an individual medal (strokeplay) competition for boys and girls under 18 years of age (as of 1 January 2026) at Knole Park Golf Club. Boys must hold a handicap of 24 or less and girls 32 or less. The competition is open to both genders with a maximum of 72 entries; play is in groups of three. If over-subscribed, entry will be decided by handicap ballot with a minimum of 6 slots reserved for girl entrants. The Junior Open Champion is determined by the best scratch 18-hole medal score and will win the Hay Bolton Trophy. A separate handicap cup is awarded to the competitor with the best net 18-hole medal score (95% handicap allowance). Net prizes are awarded separately. The entry fee of £25 includes burger and chips at the end of play. Start times are notified by email on 14th August 2026, and the start sheet is posted on the club website. Completed declaration forms must accompany each entry. No caddies are allowed; spectators are permitted but must keep a safe distance and not interfere with play. Mobile phones are not permitted in or around the clubhouse or on the course except in emergencies. Prizes are provided by the John Stoodley Memorial Trust.
