Carnwath Golf Club

South Lanarkshire, Scotland

Carnwath Golf Club is an 18-hole course located in rural Lanarkshire, Scotland, designed by the notable partnership of Aucherloonie, Moone & Clark. The course stretches approximately 6,000 yards and features natural countryside beauty with artistically shaped fairways and rolling greens set within a glorious rural landscape. The layout presents an interesting challenge, with three of the four Par 3s positioned within the first four holes, requiring accuracy from the start. The course incorporates several roads and a railway line as hazards throughout play. The front nine features a demanding section through holes 5-8, known locally as the club's 'Amen Corner', which emphasises precision over distance. Players are rewarded with distant views from the 9th tee before tackling several enticing Par 4s on the back nine. The course is playable year-round and welcomes visitors without requiring a handicap certificate. Carnwath hosts various Open Competitions for gents, ladies, and seniors, with events renowned in the local area. The club facilities include a welcoming clubhouse with quality hospitality, a fully stocked pro shop, and dining facilities operated by The Caddyshak.
