Montague Golf Club

Randolph, VT, United States

Montague Golf Club in Randolph, Vermont is the second oldest operating golf course in the state, having been open for play since 1913. The course spans 6,300 yards and features a distinctive two-part layout. The front nine is characterized by tree-lined fairways of maple and pine, creating a more traditional wooded setting. The back nine transitions to an open links-style design with rolling fairways and sloping terrain bordered by tall heather grasses. A notable feature of the course is the presence of water hazards, with many holes fronting on the Third Branch of the White River. This combination of design elements and natural features creates varied playing conditions across the eighteen holes. The course is described as an affordable golfing option in Central Vermont, appealing to both casual and serious golfers seeking a scenic New England golf experience with historical significance and natural beauty.
