A recurring 4-person team Best Shot (betterball) competition held at Tournament Club of Iowa on September 6, 2026. Teams of four players enter together, with the best shot from each player on each hole counting as the team score. This event is open to the public; visitors and non-members are welcome to book tee times and participate. Standard green fees apply for entry. Tee times can be reserved online via the club's booking system. Rates include cart, golf, and practice balls. Groups are paired based on business levels if necessary.

Tournament Club of Iowa is an Arnold Palmer Signature Design course located in Polk City, Iowa, situated on 500 acres of dramatic terrain. Created in 2003 by Arnold Palmer and his design company, it is Iowa's only Arnold Palmer Signature Course. The layout cuts through scenic bluffs and running ravines between Big Creek Dam and Saylorville Lake, featuring a distinctive landscape with elevation changes throughout. The course is characterized by a challenging design that includes a mix of uphill and downhill shots, with carries over deep ravines that test players of varying skill levels. These signature design elements create a course that balances difficulty with playability, offering both challenging and enjoyable rounds. The natural topography and water features formed by the surrounding dam and lake create distinctive visual elements and strategic shot-making opportunities throughout the layout.
