The 9-Hole Circuit 'Il Mercoledi' Del Mottolino' is a single-category individual competition played over 9 holes using Stableford scoring. The circuit takes place on Wednesdays with free tee-off times on the following dates: 9, 16, and 23 September, and 7, 14, 21, and 28 October 2026. The competition is limited to a maximum handicap of 36, with a minimum of 3 players per flight. Awards are given at the end of the circuit for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed golfers. Valtellina Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole championship course located in the heart of the Valtellina region, near Sondrio in northern Italy. Designed by Fulvio Bani under the supervision of architect Fernando Grattirola, the course opened in May 1999 and plays to a par 71 with a maximum length of 6,171 meters. Set on nearly flat terrain along the left bank of the Adda River, the course presents a technical and modern design that alternates between long and shorter holes, with consistent challenges from strategically placed obstacles. The layout provides scenic Alpine views characteristic of European mountain courses, offering an engaging test for golfers of varying abilities. The club operates seasonally from March through November and features a welcoming clubhouse with a restaurant serving traditional Valtellinese cuisine.
