The Grand Prix de la Loire is a 54-hole individual strokeplay competition held over three days (Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August 2026) at Golf du Forez. The event is open to amateur golfers holding a valid licence from the French Golf Federation (FFGolf) or a recognised foreign federation, with a current medical certificate or health questionnaire. Men must have a handicap index of 11.4 or less; ladies must have a handicap index of 14.4 or less. The competition consists of 18 holes per day (54 holes total), with a cut after 36 holes in each series (Ladies playing from the blue tees, Men from the white tees). Entries are made by post, accompanied by the entry fee, to Golf du Forez, 342 Impasse du Golf, 42210 Craintilleux. Entry fees are €110 for players aged 25 and over, €65 for players aged 19-24, and €50 for players under 19 (reduced rates of €55, €35, and €25 respectively for club subscribers). The maximum field size is 126 players, with a minimum of 3 ladies required. Selection priority is given to WAGR/WWAGR-ranked players, National Amateur Merit ranking, handicap index, and date of entry. The top three players in each series receive prizes, with a trophy presentation and cocktail held 30 minutes after the last players return. In the event of a tie for first place in the Grand Prix, a hole-by-hole play-off is held on holes designated by the Committee. Registration closes on Thursday 13 August.
