Darren Edwards Memorial Open Shield Event

The Darren Edwards Memorial Open Shield is a team stableford event held at South Pines Golf Club on Saturday 3rd October 2026. In honour of past South Pines President, the late Darren Edwards, this is a 4-person individual stableford teams event in Medley format, where the best 3 scores from each team count. Teams may consist of all men, all women, or a combination of both. The shotgun start is at 10:30am. Entry is $80 per team ($20 per player), which includes a BBQ lunch during the day. Entries close at 5pm on Thursday 1st October 2026, with late entries accepted at the discretion of the event organisers. Entries are payable on the day. Entry forms are submitted via email to Phil Morgan (Captain) at pjmorgan7878@gmail.com or by contacting him directly on mobile 0412 547 917, or by dropping off at South Pines Golf Club. Divisions or grades will be determined on the day based on the number of entries. In the event of a tie, the 4th player's score will determine the winning team. Limited carts are available and should be booked early. The event is proudly sponsored by The Sale Greyhound Club (Major Sponsor) and Graze Bistro, with $500 plus in prizes on offer.
