Sewailo Amateur Championship

The annual Sewailo Amateur Championship is held at Sewailo Golf Club on Monday, November 2, 2026, with a 9:00 am start from the #1 tee. The format is 18 holes of individual stroke play under USGA rules (with local rules prevailing where applicable). Male and female participants with a current GHIN handicap are eligible; a GHIN number must be entered at signup, and the current November 2026 USGA/GHIN handicap will be used. Flights are determined by handicap: Championship (Onyx tee, 7,309 yards), 1st Flight (Ruby tee, 6,825 yards), 1st Flight Senior (Jade tee, 6,345 yards), 2nd Flight (Jade tee, 6,345 yards), 2nd Flight Senior (Opal tee, 5,861 yards), Super Senior 70+ (Opal tee, 5,861 yards), and Ladies Championship (Copper tee, 5,209 yards). Men aged 55+ may enter a Senior Flight; Super Seniors are 70+. The entry fee is $140, which includes the greens fee, cart, range balls, box lunch, and prize fund. Golf carts are mandatory, with a maximum of two carts per group. GPS and range finders are permitted. The field size is limited, and the registration deadline is Sunday, October 18, 2026. Pairings will be available by the end of Thursday, October 29. In the event of a tie in the Men's or Ladies Championship flight, a hole-by-hole playoff determines the low gross winner. Gift card payouts are based on the number of participants in each flight. No caddies or riders are allowed.
