World Country Golf Club is a 9-hole public course located in Nangawachi, Osaka, Japan, situated at the foot of Mount Katsuragi. Designed by renowned American architect Rick Jacobsen, the course spans 7,077 yards from the full tees and plays to a par of 72. The layout is characterized by fairways that are largely flat, facilitating easy movement for golfers using carts. The setting offers expansive views of the Osaka Plain, providing a strategic challenge that tests the skills of visiting players. The course is divided into two nines, with the front nine (N) and back nine (D) offering distinct yardages and par distributions. From the full tees, the front nine measures 3,586 yards with a par of 36, while the back nine measures 3,491 yards, also par 36. The course rate from the back tees is 72.2, with a slope rating of 136. The design incorporates strategic elements typical of Jacobsen’s work, requiring precise shot placement to navigate the varying lengths and terrain features. Notable holes include the long par-5 11th, which stretches 605 yards from the full tees, and the par-3 12th, which measures 220 yards. The 18th hole serves as a strong finishing par-5, measuring 545 yards from the back tees. The course features handicap ratings that vary by tee box, with the Gold tees offering a course rate of 66.8 and the Ladies tees providing a more accessible challenge with a course rate of 68.3. The facility also includes amenities such as restrooms and shelters at various points along the course.
