Hump Day Hackers is a weekly senior golf competition held at Village Greens Golf Club on Wednesdays at 8:30 AM (or 9:30 AM depending on the season). The event runs from early 2026 through October 28, 2026. The format rotates weekly through five different team and individual competitions: 1st Wednesday is a Points Competition (individual scores with handicap, max handicap 30); 2nd Wednesday is Net Score (individual net score, handicap group competition); 3rd Wednesday is Captain's Choice (team selects best ball, handicapped scoring); 4th Wednesday is Fore Ball Plus (foursomes compete within their own foursome group, net scoring); 5th Wednesday is Texas Scramble (team chooses best drive then all players play individual ball to the hole, team scores with best two scores for each hole, net scoring). Teams are drawn from a hat or off handicap sheet. All players must register and pay prior to teeing off. Maximum handicap is 30. The event is open to senior golfers.

Village Greens Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course designed by Russell Breeden, located in Gramling, South Carolina in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Opening in 1969, the course was constructed on a 100-acre former farmland tract and plays to a par 72 at 6,372 yards from the championship tees on bermudagrass greens. The course design thoughtfully preserves the original landscape, incorporating existing lakes and ponds as water hazards throughout the layout. A notable feature is hole #10, where pear trees lining the fairway serve as reminders of the historic orchards that previously occupied the site. Village Greens presents a challenging and scenic golfing experience, balancing difficulty with playability. The rolling foothills terrain and mountain views create an aesthetically pleasing setting. The club was developed with the goal of providing an affordable and enjoyable golfing experience for the community, a philosophy that has contributed to its sustained popularity over nearly five decades. The facility also includes a clubhouse and restaurant, enhancing the overall club experience.
