Kaikoura Golf Club

Kaikōura District, New Zealand

Kaikōura Golf Club is an 18-hole course located five minutes south of Kaikōura township in New Zealand, situated between the Seaward Kaikōura Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The course measures 5,352 metres (5,853 yards) and is set against a spectacular mountain backdrop. Despite its relatively short length compared to modern designs, the course presents considerable challenges that appeal to golfers of all skill levels, from beginners to low handicappers. The course features irrigated fairways that guide players through a countryside setting without the pressure typical of urban courses. Notable holes include "Mt Fyffe," "The Gap," "Devil's Elbow," and "The Ngaio," each named distinctively. The landscape offers breathtaking views throughout the round. The club provides comprehensive facilities including club and trolley hire, a fleet of golf carts for those preferring a motorized round, and a clubhouse open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The peaceful, leisurely playing experience combines accessibility with genuine golfing challenge in a scenic coastal setting.
