Keihan Country Club is located in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, and features three courses: the Sotsuka, Oishi, and Uji courses. Each course comprises nine holes, allowing players to combine them to complete an 18-hole round. The total distance from the back tees on the Sotsuka course is 3,401 yards, while the Oishi course measures 3,367 yards from the back tees. The detailed yardage for the Uji course can be verified from published data, and all three courses are designed with a par of 36. The Sotsuka course is characterised by strategic middle holes and a layout rich in elevation changes, including uphill and downhill shots. The second hole is a downhill middle hole, with a lateral water hazard positioned on the right, requiring particular caution from long hitters. The par-5 fourth hole features a side-to-side two-tiered green, while the ninth hole is a long hole with a slight right dogleg, demanding strategic play. The Oishi course is dotted with valley-crossing and downhill shots. The par-5 fifth hole is a right dogleg, where the accuracy of the tee shot is key. The eighth hole is also a strategic downhill par-5, with a lateral water hazard lurking on the left side of the second shot location. The greens are two-tiered or contoured with significant undulation, testing the precision of approach shots. The Uji course similarly consists of nine holes, offering the option to combine the three courses to experience different 18-hole layouts. The club is equipped with facilities such as a clubhouse and restaurant, and regularly hosts competitions including the monthly cup, the chairman's cup, and the club championship.
