Heysham Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 70 parkland course measuring 6,355 to 6,360 yards, located at Trumacar Park, Middleton Road in Heysham, North Lancashire, close to the boundary with Morecambe. The club was established in 1910, with the current course attributed to design work by Hawtree Ltd and J.H. Taylor around 1928, though some sources credit Alex Heard and J. Herd in differing accounts of the early design history. The course covers approximately 130 acres of parkland situated near the Lancashire coast, within easy reach of the M6 motorway and a short distance from both Morecambe and Lancaster. The layout is primarily parkland in character, with tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and undulating greens. The elevated sections of the course provide panoramic views that extend across Morecambe Bay to the Lakeland Hills to the north, the Pennines to the east, and along the Lune Estuary toward Blackpool in the south. The proximity to the coast means that sea breezes can significantly affect play, particularly on the more exposed holes of the back nine. The course is built on relatively flat to gently rolling ground for much of its length, with well-defined fairways that have benefited from tree planting over the decades. A notable hole is the par three 13th, where water protects the green and demands accurate club selection. The Art Deco clubhouse, dating from the 1930s, overlooks the course and provides panoramic views from its lounges.
