Rakagolfen is a Texas Scramble team competition held at Valdres Golfklubb on September 27, 2026. Teams of up to 4 players compete in a Texas Scramble format (all players tee off, the best shot is selected, and all players play from that position until the hole is completed). Players may enter as a full team or individually, with the club arranging teams for solo entrants. Team handicaps are calculated according to standard rules. The entry fee of 400 NOK per person (or 1600 NOK per team) includes tasting of rakfisk (smoked trout) and dinner at the clubhouse after play. Entry is made via Golfbox online. The event is open to all golfers — both members and visitors — and is suitable for beginners and experienced players alike.

Valdres Golfklubb is an 18-hole golf course with 9 greens located in Vestringsbygda, Aurdal, in the Valdres region of Norway. Founded in 1997, the club now has approximately 600 members. The course is situated in a scenic setting between water and mountains, offering one of Norway's finest golf environments. The course features both black and white tee options, accommodating players of varying skill levels. It hosts several tournaments and activities throughout the season, including the Golf Festival, Club Championship, and Valdres Match, a match play competition played at full handicap over 18 holes. Monday golf and Senior golf competitions provide regular play opportunities on the black and white tees respectively. The club emphasizes junior development with an active youth program welcoming players from age 4 onwards. Valdres Golfklubb offers instruction through its "Road to Golf" beginner course and maintains a driving range for practice. The facility includes a pro shop with food and beverage service, and utilizes GolfBox for online booking and handicap management.
