虻田郡, Japan

Sakura Golf Club is a 27-hole facility located in Inashiki, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, situated in a hilly, forested setting with views of Lake Kasumigaura. The course was designed by 18 professional golfers, including the late Eiichi Nakamura, with the layout divided into three distinct nine-hole courses. The East Course features wide fairways and longer distances, offering a traditional design, while the South Course challenges players with its green and hazard layouts. The West Course is shorter but provides the most variety and change in the layout. The terrain is characterized by its hilly nature and forested surroundings, which contribute to the course's varied character. The wind from Lake Kasumigaura is noted to further enrich the playing experience, adding another layer of complexity to the different holes. The facility is known for its well-maintained turf, with soft, lush fairways and dense, richly colored greens that are carefully managed. The club offers a range of amenities, including a three-story clubhouse that was renovated in 1992 to provide a spacious environment for members and guests. The facility also includes a restaurant and has implemented modern technologies such as GPS cart navigation to assist players. The course hosts various events, including the Sakura Open and the S.L Cup Sakura Open, which are scheduled throughout the year. Membership at Sakura Golf Club is focused on fostering a community of golfers, with the club aiming to be a place for members to enjoy golf and socialize. The club offers specific competitions and events for its members, and it also provides options for 9-hole play plans.
