The Highland Springs Spark League is a weekly 9-hole golf league held at Highland Springs Municipal Golf Course in Rock Island, Illinois. The league runs on Mondays from April through late August, with each round starting at 5:10 PM. Players can join the league for free and register for individual rounds online through the Spark Golf app or website. Each round accommodates up to 16 players and features both a 2-person team game (net best ball/betterball format) and an individual game. No existing handicap is required — Spark provides its own handicap system based on recent scores. The entry fee is $24 per round, with an additional $10 for a golf cart. Registration for each round closes at 10:00 AM on the day of play. The league is open to all skill levels and encourages a relaxed, social atmosphere.

Highland Springs Golf Course is an 18-hole championship layout designed by William James Spears, opened in 1968 in Rock Island, Illinois. The course plays to a par of 72 with a slope of 130 from the back tees and features four sets of tees to accommodate various skill levels. The course is characterized by challenging terrain with rolling hills, numerous lakes and ponds, deep ravines, and thousands of mature trees throughout. These natural features create a rugged landscape that tests golfers of all abilities. Highland Springs offers amenities including a Yamaha Golf Car Fleet with GPS technology, a grass driving range, two putting greens, clubhouse facilities, pro shop, and snack bar. The course is open seasonally from early April through October, with tee times available from sunrise to sunset. It is recognized as one of the best golf designs in the area and accommodates corporate events and outings. The facility maintains a dress code policy for all players.
