Annual Texas Scramble charity event at Saltford Golf Club, held on Thursday 8th October 2026. Open to both men and ladies. Teams of four players compete in a Texas Scramble format. Handicap allowance: 25%/20%/15%/10% from lowest to highest playing handicap. Entry fee is £55 for non-members (£38 for members). The fee includes a bacon roll and unlimited tea/coffee from the drinks station on arrival, a £5 charity donation, and prizes. The main charity this year is the Somerset Prostate Support Association, which provides free PSA tests. A two-course meal by table service is provided after the presentation, which takes place once the last teams have completed. The clubhouse and reception desk are open from 7am. Any dietary requests or queries should be directed to the club. Payment is by bank transfer in advance.

The layout features fast, undulating greens, strategic bunkering, and tree-lined fairways that provide a challenging test for players of all abilities. The course design demands precise play to conquer, with the finishing holes (17th and 18th) offering particularly notable views visible from the clubhouse patio area. The clubhouse facilities include a casual bar, lounge bar, separate restaurant, snooker room, and conferencing facilities, with easy access to a large patio area overlooking the finishing holes. The course is conveniently accessible from both Bristol and Bath, with ample free car parking available.
