The Gutshof Uttlau Trophy is an open team scramble competition held on Sunday, 6 September 2026 at Golfplatz Uttlau in St. Wolfgang. Teams of two players compete in a stableford-format scramble (all players hit from the best ball position each hole). The event is open to all golfers with a maximum of 120 participants, entries accepted on a first-come basis with a waiting list. Players with a handicap between 37-54 are eligible to play but are rated at a maximum handicap of 36. Team handicap is calculated using 80% of the better team handicap allowance plus 20% of the worse. The event has a cannon start at 10:30 (or a time start from 09:00 if fewer than 40 participants). There is one division across yellow/red tees. Prizes are awarded for the top two teams in both gross and net scores (Groups A and B), with gross scoring taking priority over net. Special prizes include nearest to the pin on hole 9 for ladies and gentlemen, and longest drive on hole 12 for ladies and gentlemen. The entry deadline is Friday, 4 September 2026 at 18:00. Entry fees vary: members €53, hotel guests (Maximilian, Fürstenhof, Das Ludwig) and Gutshof guests €138, general guests including green fee €159, and youths (under 18, students and students up to 27) €48 plus green fee. Catering is provided by Gutshof Uttlau with a buffet, free beer and non-alcoholic drinks after the competition. The prize-giving takes place immediately after the competition at Gutshof Uttlau. Golf carts can be reserved until the entry deadline. Play follows official DGV/BGV golf rules and the World Handicap System.

St. Wolfgang Golfplatz Uttlau is an 18-hole championship course designed by renowned German golf architect Kurt Rossknecht. Located in the picturesque Bavarian countryside near the village of Uttlau, the course is nestled within a landscape of rolling hills, fields, orchards, and ponds, with views of the traditional village and its historic 400-year-old Gutshof estate. The course features two nine-hole loops that traverse a pronounced terrain, incorporating both elevated tees and greens with valley shots alongside flatter sections in the plains. The layout presents a harmonious blend of sporting challenge and playability for golfers of all abilities. Key characteristics include angled fairways, water hazards requiring precision approach shots to generously-dimensioned, undulating greens, and strategically-positioned doglegs. Notable holes include the par-3 tenth, which climbs to the course's highest point with a 150-meter shot over a valley, and the par-5 twelfth, played downward from an elevated tee to a pond-protected green. Hole 15 is an ambitious dogleg-left over a ridge leading to a sunken green, while the closing par-5 features water guarding a small green positioned toward the village. Currently closed from November 2025 through spring 2026.
