Lowood & District Golf Club hosts a 4BBB (Four-Ball Betterball) Aggregate Stableford competition on Tuesday, 29 September 2026. This is an open competition open to visitors and members of affiliated golf clubs. Visitors pay $25 to enter. Players must hold a current Golf Link handicap. The event is played as a pairs competition where two players form a side, each playing their own ball, with the better score of the two counting for each hole. The aggregate stableford scoring method is used. This is one of the club's regular open competitions held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays throughout the season.

Lowood & District Golf Club is a 9-hole country golf course situated in the Lockyer Valley, approximately 25 minutes west of Ipswich, Queensland. The course is Par 72, measuring 5821 metres for men and 5298 metres for ladies, comprising 4 Par 5s, 4 Par 3s, and 10 Par 4s, with a slope rating of 110 for men and 114 for ladies. The course record stands at 65. The golf course was designed by Tom Southcombe, an ex-professional golfer, and was officially opened on 10 November 1963. The facility features a challenging layout despite its nine-hole format, with members and visitors able to play 18 holes using the play-twice option. The course has Tifgreen 328 grass greens. The club operates regular competitions throughout the week, including dedicated Ladies competitions, and accommodates both competitive and social play.
