The Oktoberfest Family Golf Cup is a 18-hole family scramble held at Village Green Golf Club of Sarasota on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with a 9:00 AM shotgun start. Teams of 2, 3, or 4 family members compete in a relaxed, family-friendly scramble format designed for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Each player must contribute at least two drives per round. Junior golfers play age-appropriate tees, with players aged 9 and under using the Blue Pin Seeker Tees. The event takes place on the club's executive Par 58, 18-hole course. Entry fee is $30 per player, which includes 18 holes of golf, a traditional Oktoberfest lunch (bratwursts, hot dogs, German-style sides, dessert, iced tea and lemonade), and prizes. Awards are given for lowest team scores, closest to the hole, and best dressed Oktoberfest family. Registration closes on the day of the event at 9:00 AM. Riding carts are available for an additional $20 per cart.
