The Scratch Gold Medal is an individual strokeplay competition held on the East Course at Saunton Golf Club. The event is open to men with an official WHS-affiliated handicap. The maximum competition playing handicap index is 28, with a 95% handicap allowance. The entry fee is £10 for members and £85 for visitors. Entries must be made online via the club website, with signup closing at 10:00 pm on 31 July 2026. Players must register in person at the competition registration desk at least 20 minutes prior to their start time. All players must be of amateur status and hold a club-affiliated WHS handicap. Overseas entries or those without a WHS Handicap are accepted only when the player's handicap is verified by their Home Union/Federation/Association.
