The Kenilworth Junior Open is an individual 18-hole strokeplay competition for junior golfers (under 18 as of 1 January 2023) held at Kenilworth Golf Club. The event is open to both boys and girls. Entry fee is £15. Playing handicap is calculated at 95% of Course Handicap. Maximum handicap for both boys and girls is 54. The competition is limited to 45 entrants. Tee times are allocated by the committee in groups of 3, starting from 9:00am from the White (Men) and Red (Ladies) tees. Prizes are awarded in three divisions plus Overall Best and 2nd Best Gross. Major trophies include the Dick McMillan Trophy (Best Overall Nett, open to both boys and girls), the Jack Savage Trophy (Best Overall Nett for Kenilworth players), and the Kenilworth Junior Open Trophy (Girls Best Nett). All competitors are expected to attend the prize presentation immediately after completion of play. To win prizes, entrants must have submitted three competition-acceptable scores in the past 12 months at the date of the competition. This event counts towards the Warwickshire Golf Union Junior Order of Merit. Catering is available from 11:30am with bar snacks and restaurant menus. Dress code requires suitable golf attire; trainers, denim jeans, tee shirts, and football/rugby shirts are not permitted. Buggies are only permitted with medical exemption.
